Swap Meet - 19 April 2026

Bike Swap Meet

This community event offers the chance to buy, sell, and trade bicycles and bicycle parts.

This is our first effort so bear with us we discover what we forgot to plan for!

This meet is for bicycles and bicycle parts/accessories that are less than 25 years old. If you have vintage items for sale, the Canadian Vintage Bicycle Show is the Sunday before our show. Please contact them via their Facebook page for selling your vintage goodies.

SELLING YOUR BIKE AND/OR PARTS

This event is for pedal bikes/craft only. We will not accept e-bikes as we can not inspect them fully to guarantee the e-bike and battery.

Bring your clean, ready-to-ride bike or parts to the swap during the bike intake time: April 19th from 9 am - 10 am.

You will set the selling price, but we can guide you on this.

We will tech-check your bike and record its serial number; the bike has to be ready to ride.

You will sign an agreement to sell, which tells us where to send the e-transfer or write you a cheque and what to do with your bike in the slim chance that it doesn’t sell.

We will sell your bike for you and we will e-transfer your money, less 20%. You can expect your cash or e-transfer the week after the swap.

Here's what you need to do:

1) Register Your Bike: Starting 01 March 2026, you can register your bike and/or equipment with Heron Head Bikes by emailing stan@heronheads.com.

By registering, you will get early promotion on our website and be sure there’s space for you at the meet.

2) Clean and Service Your Bike: You must be sure your bike is clean and serviced if needed. A well-maintained bike will sell better/faster and can really increase its value.

3) Gather Information and Set a Price: Provide essential details about your bike, including your name, year, make, model, and desired price. Please tell us how you came to your valuation.

Your bike will be listed on our Facebook page and website before to the Bike Swap. This should help create interest and visibility in your bike and/or parts.

Dirty bikes will be turned away. They must be ready to ride away by the purchaser.

BUYING A BIKE AND/OR PARTS

All bikes at this meet will have undergone a basic tech check to make sure you don’t end up with an unsafe ride, but it is still up to you to get a full technical checkup with a local bike shop.

Unlike an online purchase, we issue you a receipt with the purchase price and bike serial number. you'll need it for filing a police report or insurance claim in the event of your bike being stolen.

There will be a rack of AS-IS bikes that didn’t pass the inspection but would be a good ride for the person ready to put a bit of TLC into a new ride.

The swap starts at 11am SHARP.  If you want first dibs on a bike, please arrive early.

We accept e-transfer, cash or debit. Sorry, for this sale we can not accept credit cards.

When Your Bike and/or Parts are Sold - Get 100% of your selling price in Store credit when your bike sells. Don’t want store credit? We'll e-transfer you 80% of the selling price or swing by the shop to get cash.

Your Bike and/or Parts Don’t Get Sold - If your bike doesn’t sell you can pick it up the following Monday or Tuesday after the swap.

"Why buy a used bike at the swap?” - Let’s start with peace of mind that you're getting your money's worth. You get the same safe and positive service you can expect at Heron Head Bikes.

We accept cash, e-transfer or debit. Sorry, we can’t accept credit cards.
