DEW DL - Kona

The Large was ridden through the summer by Stan with Jake.

It was equipped with a Buddy Rider dog seat for Jake. It is attached to the bike with a brace attached to the seat post.

This was the bike that convinced me about Kona. The mountain bikes looked awesome and I was looking through their other bikes on-line when I first saw the DL. When I saw it, I was sold on the brand. I think it looks like a classic. The fenders, the colour, the gum wall tires: everything fit for me. It would be a couple of years before we got one in and I could ride it. That year was this year, 2026. 

It is a great bike for around the city and trails. I rode this, with Jake in his Buddy Rider, on parts of the Grand River Loop, the trail from Shellard Lane to the Mt Pleasant Nature Park, the trail from Forest Road to the 403, the St Thomas Whistlestop Trail as well as commuting to the shop and warehouse. It was a really smooth ride, easy to manoeuvre even with Jake right in front of me. If I were buying the bike, and continue to use it with Jake, I'd replace the flat bars with a riser bar. That's it. I think it's complete and ready to perform!
