The Schwinn Bicycle Company was founded in 1895 by German Immigrant Ignaz Schwinn and Adolf Arnold. The Chicago company became an American icon and dominated the 20th-century market with revolutionary models like the cruiser and the 1963 Sting-Ray. Today, the brand is a sub-brand of Pacific Cycle.
The Schwinn Starlet was produced from 1950 to 1970.
There were three versions, the Starlet’s I, II and III.
The Schwinn Starlet was introduced in 1950 and the Starlet II in 1965. The last version, the Starlet III, was introduced in 1966 and sold for $59.95.
The “Campus Green” colour was used from 1968 to 1970.
